Crimson Moon’s price is the other headline next to the date. ProbablyMonsters set Standard at $19.99 USD and Deluxe at $29.99 USD on all announced platforms. That is a full gothic action RPG with co-op, not a free-to-play funnel. Regional prices will vary. Steam also lists a soundtrack DLC and a Deluxe Edition Upgrade for people who buy Standard first. Standard Edition — $19.99
You get the complete launch game: Gildenarch, Sanctus Clypeus, hunts, bosses, co-op, the loot loop, the Angel. The studio’s public line is that this is a finished experience at purchase, not a live-service skeleton. Standard is the honest recommendation if you want the melee and you do not care about a ceremonial paint job. Everything on getting started assumes this SKU.
Deluxe Edition — $29.99
Business Wire and Gematsu listed the same extras:

- Axe of the Gods (weapon cosmetic)
- A post-launch expansion to be released later
Ten dollars is the expansion reservation plus two looks. It is not a stats pack in any official bullet. Wear Ceremonial in the hub if you like gold. Build your actual armor from purified drops. The axe is a cosmetic; your weapon art still comes from the tool you purify unless a tooltip later says otherwise.
If you already own Standard, the Deluxe Edition Upgrade on Steam is the path that should add the same extras without a second base-game purchase. Confirm the store listing before you click.
Platform exclusive looks
Late-August official shorts revealed storefront armor that is not Deluxe and not First Look:

Soundtrack DLC
Steam lists a Crimson Moon Soundtrack app. Boss tracks from HEALTH, Jared Dines, Misha Mansoor, and Ricky Armellino are a selling point of the combat fantasy. The soundtrack DLC is for listening outside the hunt. It is not required to hear them in a Dead God arena.
What you do not get at any price
A season pass of weekly vendors. A pay-to-skip rarity climb. A fourth co-op slot. Those are not in the SKU sheet. Gajov still wants souls. First Look armor is a community quest line, not a Deluxe checkbox. You can own Deluxe and still fail a First Look set, and you can own Standard and still wear Mahkten if you earned it.
Who should pay the extra ten
Pay Deluxe if you already know you want the expansion and you like supporting a $19.99 game that is not nickel-and-diming a battle pass. Stay Standard if you are unsure the melee will click. You can upgrade later if the storefront keeps that SKU live. Read a combat page before you let a cosmetic trailer make the decision.
