Crimson Moon Release date and platforms

ProbablyMonsters will ship Crimson Moon on September 1, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The date is in the August 4, 2026 announcement, the Steam store page, and the official social accounts. There is no Nintendo Switch SKU in those materials. There is no mobile port. This is a current-gen console and PC action RPG.

Platforms and versions

All four storefronts are described as a simultaneous launch. You hunt on:

Cross-play has not been advertised as a pillar. If you are buying the game to co-op with a friend, buy the same ecosystem unless a later note says otherwise. Full controller support is listed on Steam, including DualSense. Steam Cloud and achievements are listed. Steam Deck compatibility is still marked unknown on the store page.

PC hunters should read system requirements before they assume a 2017 laptop will run Unreal-looking gothic streets at 60. The install is 50 GB. OS listed on Steam is Windows 11 for both minimum and recommended.

Time of day

Store pages list September 1, 2026. SteamDB-style timestamps have pointed at 17:00 UTC. Game8 reported a 1:00 p.m. Eastern / 10:00 a.m. Pacific unlock. Treat those as reported times, not as a promise this wiki can enforce. Refresh the storefront on the morning of the first. If you took a day off work, pad it.

Wishlist, pre-order, Game Pass

As of late August 2026, Crimson Moon is wishlisted, not widely pre-ordered. Game8’s roundup found no public pre-order SKU and no day-one Game Pass listing. That can change. If a storefront adds a pre-load, it will show on Steam, PlayStation, or Xbox first, not here. Deluxe exists as a $29.99 purchase, not as a founder’s FOMO battle pass. See editions. The official account posted that wishlists passed 400,000. That is a studio health metric, not a player-count prediction.

Rating and content

Expect Mature / 18+ violence. Steam’s own descriptor: visceral, stylish, bloody executions against demons, undead, vampires, and Hellgrowth. In-game chat exists because co-op exists. Family Sharing is listed. There is a third-party EULA on Steam.

Languages with interface and subtitles on Steam: English (full audio), French, Italian, German, Spanish (Latin America), Japanese, Portuguese (Brazil), Simplified Chinese. This wiki ships English, French, German, and Spanish. We do not ship Simplified Chinese or Russian pages.

How to spend the last days before launch

1. Wishlist the platform you will actually play.
2. Confirm the PC spec or the console you own.
