Search demand this close to launch is blunt: is Crimson Moon on Game Pass? As of the last public roundups on August 27–28, 2026, no. It is not listed as a day-one title for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass, and it does not appear on current Game Pass carousels. There has been no studio announcement promising a later add. If you want it on Xbox Series X|S on September 1, budget the store price. Platform and timing still live on release date. SKUs live on editions.

What “not on Game Pass” actually means

Xbox Series is a launch platform. The Microsoft Store will sell Standard at the $19.99 USD figure from the August 4 announcement and Deluxe at $29.99, with regional conversion. Game Pass is a subscription catalog. A game can launch on Xbox and still sit outside that catalog. That is the current state. A YouTube roundup that lists Crimson Moon among “Xbox games to play in September” is talking about the console storefront, not a day-one inclusion in Ultimate.

PC hunters on Game Pass should not expect a PC Game Pass tile either. Steam and Epic are the PC storefronts. System requirements still apply if you buy there.

Why this page exists before a “yes”

Because the question will not die on September 2 if the answer is still no. This wiki will change the tense when Xbox or ProbablyMonsters puts Crimson Moon on a Game Pass slate. Neither is a Steam wishlist count. If Xbox publishes a day-one or later add, this page will say so in the first paragraph. Until that sentence exists, plan to pay.

Crimson Moon is also not listed as a PlayStation Plus extra or an EA Play title. Those catalogs are different products. A hunter who waits for “some subscription” is waiting for three different companies. Only Microsoft can put it on Game Pass.

A practical decision

• Buy on Xbox if you play on the couch, want DualSense-class haptics on a Microsoft pad, and accept $19.99 or $29.99.
• Wait only if you are willing to miss launch week and you are betting on a catalog add that nobody has announced.
• Do not skip First Look because you hoped Game Pass would gift the cosmetics. Those tracks are separate.
• Do not buy Deluxe expecting a subscription refund. SKUs and catalogs do not stack that way.

If it joins later, a purchase you already made still owns the license. Game Pass would then be a second way in, not a rebate. Save files, First Look cosmetics, and the Deluxe expansion stay tied to the store account that earned them.
