Crimson Moon Enemies and bosses
The Legion, the growth, and the gods that still have names.
Gildenarch is not a generic monster closet. Factions tell you how a room will try to kill you. This bestiary is built from Steam copy, State of Play language, achievement names, and preview notes. It is not a complete HP list. Use it to plan combat reads and War Table picks. Lore framing sits on story.
Factions
Infernal Legion. The occupying army named in the February announcement. Demons are the muscle. If a pack looks like Hell’s infantry, expect pressure and executions that feel like exorcisms.
Undead. Cathedral fillers. They exist to waste stamina if you treat every model like an elite. Execute and move. Save arts for what sits behind them.
Vampires. Street-level gothic predators. Mix-ups, grabs, and the reason a shield still matters in a “fast” melee game. Solomon Moore is their political ceiling.
Hellgrowth abominations. The corruption made into bodies and architecture. Official screenshots show red viscera eating scaffolds and doors. These fights are messy and close. Reach weapons and slams earn their keep. The growth is also a world state: clearing districts pushes it back.
Elites sit on top of all four. Preview players said fodder melted and elites forced them to lock in. If a health bar is thick, isolate it. Co-op should call the elite, not the leftover skeleton.
Districts you will actually queue
Achievement lists already publish a tour of Gildenarch:
- Prologue — complete in death or victory. It is a tutorial that still counts.
- Forsaken Streets — the first real ward in early-look videos. Gates blow, Hellgrowth in the alleys, a teaching boss at the end.
- Archspire Cathedral — holy architecture, undead density, vertical naves.
- Ramshorn Keep — fortification, probably Legion pressure.
- Shoreditch Prison — close corridors, bad camera if you greed heavies.
- Elk Grove Academy — civic horror, a late-stone hunt.
Abraxas Stones of Rot, War, and Arcana are the campaign stamps for reclaiming those spaces. A world boss waits if you chain three districts. That is the War Table endgame, not a random street event.
Layouts remix enemy compositions and modifiers rather than generating a new city from noise. You will learn rooms. The pack inside them will not always be the same. That is why this is not a traditional walkthrough with a single safe path.
Bosses, Dead Gods, Solomon Moore
District bosses close wards. Dead Gods are the mythic ceiling. Solomon Moore is the vampire lord named as architect of the city’s fall. Designers have said they enjoyed building bosses and think there is something for everyone — a polite way to say the roster is a mix of melee exams, arena spectacles, and transformation checks.
Boss music is original work from HEALTH, Jared Dines, Misha Mansoor, and Ricky Armellino. When the drums hit, hold a life in reserve. Angel Mode is for a phase, not for the walk from the fog gate. Executions still matter if the boss is a named member of a faction you have been practicing on.
We will not publish made-up attack names. After September 1, clips will fill this page with real tells. Until then, the honest prep is: know the faction, know the district, bring the weapon art that answers the space.
How to hunt a roster without a wiki full of numbers
- Identify the faction as you enter the room.
- Spend light attacks on fodder, arts on elites.
- Never dump Angel Mode into undead padding.
- On a district boss, learn one tell before you spend the last life.
- On a three-district streak, repair rarity at Gajov so the world boss does not meet a common kit.
The bestiary will grow. The factions will not change. Learn the four, and Gildenarch becomes readable.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before you enter Gildenarch.
Who is Solomon Moore?
A vampire lord named in PlayStation’s overview as the architect of Gildenarch’s demise. He sits at the top of the vampire threat and the Dead Gods framing.
What is an Abraxas Stone?
A campaign trophy taken from major wards (Rot, War, Arcana in achievements). Collecting them marks reclamation progress, not a live-service season.
Are maps fully procedural?
Coverage describes remixing enemy packs and modifiers inside authored districts, not a brand-new city generator every run.
Should I fight world bosses solo?
You can. The game is built to scale. A co-op partner makes the life pool more forgiving if both of you know the faction.
